first truck park: CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS
The driving day should not end with another parking search.
ALL SET is developing driver-first truck parks around the part of the day that begins after the truck is parked. Park, Reset, and Roll.
Because getting the truck off the road solves one problem. The person inside it still needs to rest, eat, clean up, move, call home and be ready to do it all again tomorrow.
Parking interest helps us understand demand. It is not a reservation or promise of parking availability.
THE PARKING PROBLEM
Finding a place to stop should not depend on luck.
A professional driver may spend the day managing traffic, delivery windows, freight, equipment, the clock and everyone moving around the truck.
Parking search often begins before the legal clock becomes immediate, because uncertainty compounds during the final hours of the driving day.
The first parking option is full. Maybe the second one is too.
Repeated searches consume time and attention when both are already limited.
A driver should know where the day ends before the clock forces the decision.
Parking is not only a space problem. It is part of how the driving day ends.
Truck parking shortages are not a niche complaint. The Federal Highway Administration describes truck parking shortages as a national safety concern, and its research has documented parking pressure along major freight corridors as well as trucks using unofficial locations when designated parking is unavailable.
THE ALL SET APPROACH
The idea starts when the truck is parked.
This short introduction shows what ALL SET Truck Park is setting out to build around the end of the driving day.

PARKING DEMAND
Where should ALL SET go next?
Corpus Christi, Texas is ALL SET's first truck park.
But truck-parking pressure does not stop at one market. Drivers and fleets know where the same problem repeats: the lanes where parking fills early, the markets where the search starts too soon, and the places where ending the driving day becomes harder than it should be.
Tell us where you see the need.
THE HUMAN SIDE OF INFRASTRUCTURE
Parking the truck is only step one.
Getting parked does not make the driver's other needs disappear.
There is still dinner.
A restroom.
A shower or a chance to clean up.
Hours in the seat that the body needs to come back from.
A family that might be waiting for a call.
Sleep.
Tomorrow's route.
And for a driver spending days or weeks away from home, the place where the truck stops becomes part of daily life.
Truck parking is infrastructure.
For the person inside the cab, it is also where work finally gets a chance to stop.
THE DRIVER RESET
The truck needs a place to park. The driver needs room to reset.
The Driver Reset is ALL SET's way of thinking about what happens after the parking brake is set.
The idea is simple: truck parking should be planned around more than the dimensions of the equipment. The person operating that equipment still has basic human needs during the off-duty period.
We call that part of the day The Driver Reset.
What still matters after the truck is parked
PARK
Find an appropriate place for the truck to stop.
REST
Get meaningful time away from the workday.
CLEAN UP
Take care of the basic hygiene that is easy to take for granted at home.
EAT
Have the chance to get food before the next work period begins.
MOVE
Get out of the seat and give the body a break from hours on the road.
CONNECT
Call home. Talk to family. Be a person again, not only the person moving the load.
PREPARE
Rest, reset and get ready for tomorrow.
Park, Reset, and Roll.

Driver-first has to work for women drivers too.
A parking environment is experienced differently depending on who is using it.
ATRI's 2024 research into challenges facing women professional drivers identified truck-parking shortages and restroom access among the significant issues affecting women in trucking. The research was based on input from thousands of drivers, motor carriers and training schools.
Women In Trucking has also documented concerns involving personal safety at truck stops and rest areas among women professional drivers.
That makes practical questions worth asking:
- What is the walk from the truck like after dark?
- Can a driver see where they are going?
- How accessible are basic facilities?
- Is there enough privacy?
- Is the environment clean and usable?
- Does the place feel like it was designed with the person behind the wheel in mind?
These should not be side questions added after a parking facility is designed.
They belong in the driver conversation from the beginning.
FOR FLEETS
Where the truck spends the night is part of the operating plan.
For a fleet, truck parking is not only a driver's end-of-day problem.
It sits between today's dispatch and tomorrow's movement.
Where does the driver reasonably end the day?
Which parking options actually fit the lane and available driving time?
Where does the tractor and trailer spend the off-duty period?
What environment surrounds the load while the truck is parked?
Which markets and recurring lanes create the same parking problem again and again?
ALL SET is collecting input from fleets as well as individual drivers because future truck parking should be shaped by where the demand actually exists.
Not by guessing from a conference room.
first truck park
Corpus Christi comes first.
ALL SET's first truck park is Corpus Christi, Texas.
That choice puts the project in a region where freight is part of everyday economic life.
The Port of Corpus Christi handles cargo including crude oil, natural gas, grain and wind-energy components, connecting maritime commerce with the transportation networks that move cargo to and from the region.
Those movements depend on more than ships.
They depend on trucks.
And trucks depend on drivers who eventually need somewhere appropriate to stop.
ALL SET is collecting parking interest now to better understand how drivers and fleets experience that demand in and around the Corpus Christi market while planning continues.

WHY ALL SET
Decades inside transportation led to one problem that would not go away.
ALL SET founder Frank Sonzala did not arrive at truck parking from outside the transportation industry.
Before leading CIMC Intermodal Equipment as president and CEO, Frank spent 22 years at Pressure Systems International. His earlier career included executive roles with International Transquip and Reef Industries, along with historical board positions at the Intermodal Association of North America and the Truckload Carriers Association, as documented by Heavy Duty Trucking.
That career put him around trucking equipment, intermodal operations and transportation problems for decades.
Truck parking became another persistent problem worth asking a harder question about:
Why are professional drivers still struggling to find places built around what happens when their driving day ends?
Frank has discussed the truck-parking problem publicly for years, including coverage in Transport Topics and Land Line Media. Historic coverage is context for the question, not a statement of current ALL SET specifications.
“These truck drivers deserve it.”
That is the point.
Not sympathy.
Not a slogan.
Better infrastructure for the people the freight system depends on.

ALL SET's resource library focuses on the questions drivers, fleets and freight teams are already dealing with.
